Make sure you have all the gear you left with when you arrive at your destination. Whether you’re hitting pot holes on the street or rocks and stumps off-road, when your Jeep gets bouncing your cargo can too – maybe right out of your rig. But cargo containment doesn’t mean you have to run with the top up, you can make sure everything stays safely inside even over the roughest terrain with a cargo net.
Part of your Jeep’s appeal is cruising without the soft top up, and you shouldn’t have to give up that feeling of open air driving freedom just because you’ve got a load to carry. A cargo net will contain your gear and let the cool breezes flow, all while giving your rig the tough looks of a serious off-roader. We have cargo nets that install in place of your soft top as well as nets that can be used in conjunction with both soft and hard tops.
The Smittybilt C.RES (Cargo Restraint System) Cargo Net installs like a soft top and provides coverage up to the sound bar. It’s custom fit for each application, so no drilling is required, and it’s manufactured from the same material used to make soft tops, so you can count on the same durability and lifespan. This cargo net mounts to the factory belt rail channel and straps around the roll bar. And although it’s designed for containment of your gear, you’re not limited to what you can carry. The zippered rear curtain can be opened so oversize cargo can be hauled.
The Smittybilt C.RES2 HD and Rugged Ridge Cargo Net System are both tough, durable containment systems that are easy to install and designed so they can remain installed when the factory top is used. Both are multi-piece systems that include separate side nets, and both can be detached easily to gain cargo access. The Rugged Ridge net is made from heavy-duty 600 Denier UV treated polyester and is waterproof and tear resistant. The generation II C.RES is made from triple-stitched 2” military grade nylon webbing with 1200 lbs. of tensile strength, and features stainless steel grommets for cargo attachment.
Along with cargo containment, a cargo net is also a great way to contain pets. If you love traveling with man’s best friend, he can enjoy the fresh air while safely ensconced within the confines of the cargo net. Besides keeping your dog from bouncing out of your rig, a cargo net will also restrain him if he tries to jump out when you’re underway.
