The Giulia by Alfa Romeo starts the 2019 model year with a number of new features, both standard and optional. The Quadrifoglio grade now comes with folding rear seats featuring the third headrest and anodized brake calipers, while the Ti Sport received 19” aluminum wheels, all as standard. The list of optional features is much wider – the base version of the 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia can be fitted with 17” aluminum wheels, while 19” polished aluminum ones are available for Sport and Giulia Ti grades apart from the base trim. Two new exterior colors are now offered for the base and Ti trims. Heated rear seats and an upscale alarm system are available for all variants of the new Giulia.

A number of new option packages are offered. The Nero Edizione includes a Dark Miron grille and mirror caps as well as monochromatic wheel caps. Headlight bezels, 5-hole aluminum wheels, badges, exhaust tips, and some other components depending on the version are darkened too. The Quadrifoglio variant can be fitted with the Exterior Carbon Fiber Package offering a carbon fiber grille and mirror caps. It can also be had as a special Racing Edition model that is set to commemorate Alfa’s return to F1. The limited-edition styling treatment includes a Formula One-inspired two-tone exterior paint and a red-accented interior, along with mechanical goodies such as carbon-ceramic brakes and an Akrapovic exhaust. Another model to celebrate the company’s racing excellence is the NRING edition limited to 55 cars. The Giulia Quadrifoglio’s time of 7:32 around the Nürburgring is still unbeatable, and it’s definitely worth being honored. The NRING package includes a plethora of carbon fiber trim pieces, a unique Circuito Gray hue, and a black-and-red interior. The Carbon package offered for the Ti Sport grade includes 19” wheels; mirror caps, side skirts, grille, interior accents and door sills made from carbon fiber; dark badges, exhaust tips and headlight bezels; leather upper door and dashboard trim, and monochromatic wheel caps.

The mechanicals didn’t undergo any updates, so the 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia offers the same powertrains as before. The base one is an all-aluminum 2.0 L turbo I4 capable of generating 280 hp, while a Ferrari-derived 2.9 L turbo V6 good for 505 hp is offered as an option. Both units are teamed with an 8-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, though an AWD layout is available too. Besides, the two deliver excellent acceleration – the standard engine enables the vehicle to reach 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, while the V6 does the same in 3.8 seconds. As for the maximum speed, the I4 is capable of propelling the vehicle to 149 mph and the top speed of V6-powered models is 191 mph.
